Welcome Home Swallows
The story of one Japanese American family that was able to reunite after World War II. The youngest child tells about the many things that happened to his family. Like the Swallows of Capistrano, we learn, even people can have two homes. The reader soon discovers that people are more alike than different, and that anyone can be a true American. A brief epilogue provides a factual background about Japanese Americans who endured many hardships through that difficult time in American history.
