Author Jodi Hottel will share stories about her mother’s experience and poems from her book about the incarceration, Heart Mountain, which won the 2012 Blue Light Press Poetry Prize.
Jodi Hottel is a sansei, meaning a third generation Japanese American. During the World War II, her mother’s family was incarcerated at Heart Mountain Relocation Center, Wyoming. Her book, Heart Mountain, won the 2012 Blue Light Press Poetry Prize.
